Cookies on channelcmo.com
Only the cookies the site needs to work are on when you arrive. Analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you say yes, and you can change your answer at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and local storage, that can identify you, locate you or build a profile of you. Channel CMO, the firm of Marie Scultore based in Rosemère, Quebec, runs this site.

Choose, change or withdraw
On your first visit, a banner offers three buttons of equal size and weight: Accept all, Reject all and Choose. Choose lets you turn Analytics and Marketing on or off one by one. Scrolling or browsing is not consent, and closing the banner counts as Reject all.
The site keeps your answer for 6 months, then asks again. It also asks again if a new tool or a new purpose is added.
To change your mind, open Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or use the button below. Turning a category off stops it from that moment, and the site deletes the cookies it set itself. Cookies already stored by Google or LinkedIn can be removed in your browser.
Open cookie settingsYou can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the forms, from working.
Refusing cookies never blocks you from reading the site or downloading the Tracker and the Playbook.
The rules this site follows
The site applies the strictest rule to every visitor, wherever you are.
Quebec, Law 25. Any tool that can identify, locate or profile you is off by default, and you turn it on yourself. This policy tells you which tools these are and how to activate or deactivate them. Accepting and refusing are equally easy.
EU and UK visitors, GDPR and ePrivacy. Storing or reading anything on your device, other than what is strictly necessary, needs your prior consent. Consent is given by a clear action, purpose by purpose, with no pre-ticked box, and you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it. Legitimate interest is never used to justify a cookie.
Google Consent Mode v2. Google tags do not load before you choose. Until you accept, all four Google signals (ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to denied, and they follow your choice after that.
Canada, CASL. Federal anti-spam law treats cookies as accepted when you leave them on in your browser. This site asks anyway, because Quebec and EU law require it. CASL rules for emails are in the Privacy policy.
Proof. The site logs each choice: the date, the version of this policy and what you accepted or refused, without your name. The log is kept for [3] years.
Changes and contact
When a cookie or a tool is added or removed, I update the table and the date at the top. If the change adds a new purpose, the banner asks you again.
