About
I help AWS partners find what makes them stand-out.
For almost six years I was a virtual Partner Marketing Manager for AWS Canada. That is the person AWS assigns to help partners build joint marketing plans, campaigns and funding requests. I supported 40 Canadian SI partners in that time. Then I became CMO of an AWS Advanced partner and helped take it to Premier in my first year.
I started in journalism and editorial work. I still write like an editor: short, sourced and clear, in French and in English.
How I work
Seven rules I keep.
Every partner gets its own plan.
No templates. I start from your market, your AWS team and your goals, and build around them.
I do the work.
You hire me, you get me. No handoff to a junior team.
Competitors handled in the open.
If I work with a direct competitor in your region, I will tell you, and I plan your campaigns and events so they never clash.
Funding is a lever, not the pitch.
Good marketing gets funded. Marketing built only to spend funds rarely sells.
AWS co-branding rules, every time.
Every asset that carries the AWS name or logo follows the AWS Partner Creative and Messaging Guidelines and the AWS Trademark Guidelines, and goes to AWS for approval when the rules ask for it.
Sourced, never from memory.
AWS rules change. I check them for every plan and every request.
Honest routing.
If you need AWS foundations before marketing, I will introduce you to a partner who builds them.
Channel CMO is an independent firm, not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Amazon Web Services, Inc.
Start with a Diagnostic.
Two weeks to see your AWS marketing the way AWS sees it. You get a scored review, a funding map and a 90-day plan. The fee counts toward any program started within 30 days.
